Terms of Service
These terms cover use of any software product operated by Ramara LLC (“Ramara”, “we”, “us”), including but not limited to HearingBrief, EarlyBidr, and any successor or related properties (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or subscribing you agree to these terms. Written to be readable by the professionals who actually use us.
1. What the Services are
Each Ramara product is a decision-intelligence or market-signal service built on public data. HearingBrief transcribes and extracts decisions from municipal meetings in Central Florida. EarlyBidr surfaces early permit and bid signal for civic contractors. Each product has its own scope, coverage, and pricing described on the product’s own site.
2. Accounts, subscriptions, billing
Access to a Service requires a subscription. Prices, plans, and billing cycles are shown on each product’s pricing page. Where a product offers a free trial (currently 30 days for HearingBrief), the length and terms are stated on that product’s signup flow. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current cycle.
You can cancel, switch plans, or update payment details from Ramara’s Stripe-hosted customer portal, linked from your account dashboard.
3. Accuracy and how to use our output
Ramara Services extract and structure public information using automated pipelines, including machine transcription and large-language-model extraction. Every product publishes its own methodology and, where relevant, measured accuracy statistics. Even so:
- Ramara output is not a substitute for the official public record. Before relying on a decision, permit, filing, or signal in a matter, client memo, court filing, bid, or advice to a client, verify it against the source record.
- We publish source URLs and timestamps on every extracted item so you can do this.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the Services for lawful professional purposes. You may not:
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-export our extracted content or metadata for redistribution or resale.
- Share account credentials outside the account’s intended firm or team. Team plans are seat-metered.
- Use a Service to build a competing extraction, alerting, or signal product.
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls.
- Use a Service in a way that violates law, court order, or the terms of service of the data sources we ingest.
5. Content and intellectual property
The underlying public records — meeting recordings, agendas, minutes, permit filings, bid notices — are the property of the jurisdictions and agencies that produce them. Ramara-produced transcriptions, structured extractions, and derived alerts are ours; your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your professional purposes. Alert profiles, watchlists, notes, and settings you create are yours.
6. No warranty
The Services are provided “as is”. We work hard on accuracy and publish our methodology, but we do not warrant that any Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Land-use, permitting, and civic decisions are legally and financially significant — always confirm against the official record before acting.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ramara’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Services is limited to the amount you paid Ramara in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profits damages.
8. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Ramara may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or unlawful use, with reasonable notice where practical.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of state or federal courts located in Seminole County, Florida.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Services evolve. Material changes are emailed to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
